Last Updated: 06-06-2026
- OVERVIEW
The Nook and Lantern specializes in vintage, collectible, used, discontinued, rare, and specialty products. Due to the nature of these goods, all sales are generally final unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in this Policy.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Policy.
- ALL SALES GENERALLY FINAL
Unless otherwise required by law, The Nook and Lantern does not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for:
• Buyer’s remorse
• Accidental purchases
• Change of preference
• Gift-related issues
• Cosmetic condition expectations
• Failure to review listing photos or descriptions
• Compatibility issues not expressly guaranteed in the listing
All purchases are made with the understanding that product descriptions and photographs should be reviewed in full prior to purchase.
- COSMETIC CONDITION STANDARD
All items sold by The Nook and Lantern are evaluated primarily based on functional condition unless explicitly stated otherwise in the listing.
Cosmetic condition, including any external appearance or non-functional components, is not guaranteed unless expressly described as part of the listing condition.
Vintage and used items may include significant cosmetic wear, including but not limited to:
• Surface wear and heavy use marks
• Shelf wear, edge wear, or corner wear
• Tears, creases, bending, or deformation of packaging, sleeves, covers, or dust jackets
• Discoloration, fading, yellowing, or aging of materials
• Scratches, scuffs, or surface markings
• Missing or damaged non-functional components such as inserts, manuals, artwork, or packaging materials
Such conditions are considered normal characteristics of vintage and used goods and do not constitute a defect.
For books and printed materials, wear to covers, bindings, dust jackets, and other non-text elements is considered normal unless otherwise explicitly stated.
Only material functional failure or a material deviation from the item description constitutes a defect under this Policy.
